Candice van Heerden attended St Andrews school for Girls in Bedfordview and matriculated in 2007. Thereafter she attended the University of Pretoria where she obtained an honors degree in Communication Pathology specializing as a Speech Language Therapist and Audiologist. After completing her studies she conducted her community service year at Chris Hani Baragwaneth Hospital in Soweto. Chris Hani Baragwaneth Hospital, being the largest hospital in the Southern Hemisphere, provided her with a lot of experience and insight into communication and hearing problems experienced by the South African population. During this time Candice discovered that her passion lay in Audiology and bringing improved hearing and quality of life to patients with hearing difficulties.
After completing her year at Chris Hani Baragwaneth Hospital, Candice moved into Audiology in the private healthcare sector. She worked at a private practice based primarily in Benoni and spent some time working in Centurion for two years. During this time she was seeing a variety of patients from newborns to her eldest patient who was 100 years old. Candice loves being able to create personal relationships with her patients and their families and being able to bring sound and hearing back into their lives. After two years of working and gaining experience in the private sector Candice decided to branch out on her own hoping to bring improved hearing and quality of life to many more patients in the future.
